Houston Chargers Sports LLC ("Houston Chargers", "we", "us", "our")

By creating an account, using houstonchargers.com, our mobile applications, or any related Service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account in your own name. Parents and guardians may add child dependants to their account.
You agree to provide accurate, current information at sign-up and to keep it up to date in Edit Profile.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
Club membership ("Club Player") requires administrator approval after sign-up. Membership can be approved, declined, or revoked at the club's discretion.

2. Notifications & communications

At sign-up you explicitly consent to receive email, SMS and WhatsApp notifications from Houston Chargers (squad announcements, game-day contributions, fixtures, events, fundraisers, account-status changes). You may opt out of any channel independently at any time in Edit Profile, or by replying STOP to any SMS/WhatsApp message. Transactional communications (password reset, security alerts, payment receipts) may still be sent. Message and data rates may apply per your carrier agreement. 3. Fixtures, schedules & squad selection

Published fixtures, schedules, venues and squad lists are provided for informational purposes and may change. We make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate but accept no liability for late changes, cancellations, or weather-related rescheduling.
Squad selection (Playing XI, Extras, Coach, Manager, Physio and other roles) is at the sole discretion of team management. Inclusion on a published squad does not guarantee match minutes; exclusion does not imply any judgment of your skill.
You agree that team management may publish your name and role on the public Fixtures page when you are selected, unless you ask in writing to be excluded (note: an administrator can hide your card from the public Team page; squad lists for current fixtures may still reference your name).

4. Game-day contributions

If you are selected to the Playing XI or as an Extra for a fixture, you owe a per-fixture game-day contribution (currently $10.00 — the amount is set in Admin > Settings and may change). The exact amount is shown in your selection notification and on the payment page.
Guest players and over-45 ("O45") players who appear for more than one team may be marked Exempted at the club's discretion and will not owe the contribution for that fixture.
Coaching, management and physio staff assigned to a fixture do not owe a player game-day contribution.
Game-day contributions are voluntary club dues, not a service fee, and are non-refundable once paid except in case of administrative error.

5. Payments

Card / Apple Pay / Google Pay payments are processed by Stripe. PayPal payments are processed by PayPal. Zelle payments are made directly to a bank account we provide; we mark them Paid after we receive and verify the deposit.
Card / CVV data is never sent to or stored by Houston Chargers — it is tokenised client-side by Stripe.
You authorise the charge of the amount stated on the payment page for the item, service, or contribution you are paying for. Card surcharges (if any) are disclosed before confirmation.
Stripe / PayPal disputes and chargebacks are handled per the processor's standard policies; we may suspend your account during a chargeback investigation.

6. Store purchases

Club store items are sold by Houston Chargers and (for marketplace listings) by the individual Seller displayed on the product. The club processes the payment centrally and pays sellers offline; we are not responsible for an individual seller's listing accuracy beyond removing fraudulent listings when reported.
Shipping, local pickup, and free-shipping thresholds are shown at checkout and are governed by the Store settings on the day of the order.
Promotional codes are subject to per-code usage limits, expiry dates, and exclusions where set; we may invalidate any promo code suspected of abuse.
Refunds & returns: unworn, unwashed merchandise in original condition may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund minus shipping. Custom-printed or personalised items are non-returnable. Email support@houstonchargers.com to initiate a return.

7. Ground bookings

Ground bookings via /book are subject to availability and to admin approval where stated. A slot is held as Pending until payment (Stripe / PayPal) settles or an admin verifies a Zelle receipt.
Taxes and a card-processing surcharge (where applicable) are added at checkout in line with the rates set in Admin > Settings > Booking.
Cancellation: a Pending booking can be cancelled at any time by an admin. Paid bookings can be refunded at the club's discretion if cancelled at least 7 days before the booked slot; later cancellations may be non-refundable depending on cause (weather, force majeure).
The renter is responsible for clean-up; the trash fee shown at checkout covers basic clean-up, not damage. Damage to the facility may be charged to the renter.

8. Fundraisers & event support

Fundraiser contributions and event-support payments are voluntary and non-refundable once received. We will use them for the cause and event stated on the fundraiser / event page.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

upload photos or content that infringes anyone's rights, is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or hateful;
impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, or sign someone else up;
attempt to access another user's account, the administration area, or any non-public part of the Service;
probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, except via the security contact below;
use the Service for unsolicited commercial messaging, automated scraping, or any activity that would breach Twilio, Stripe, PayPal, Google, or Apple's own terms.

Violations may result in account suspension or deletion at the club's discretion.

10. User-generated content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (player photo, biography, social handles, children's photos, certificates, store listings). By uploading, you grant Houston Chargers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the Service for the duration of your account, for the purpose of operating the club website and communicating with members.

11. Third-party services

The Service integrates with Stripe, PayPal, Twilio, Google (reCAPTCHA, sign-in, Maps), Apple (sign-in), Open-Meteo and others. Your use of those services through ours is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will not be lost. Cricket carries inherent physical risk; participation in any club fixture, net session, or event is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Houston Chargers Sports LLC and its officers, members, employees, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim is limited to the total amount you have paid to Houston Chargers in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Houston Chargers Sports LLC harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your content, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@houstonchargers.com; some transactional records will be retained as required (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion for breach of these Terms.

16. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page and (where appropriate) communicated by email. Continued use of the Service after a change is published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
