Payment, Purchase & Refund Policy
Houston Chargers Sports LLC ("Houston Chargers", "we", "us", "our")
Last updated 11 October 2026
This policy applies to every purchase or payment made through houstonchargers.com and the Houston Chargers mobile apps. It sits alongside our general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. You accept it when you tick the box at the payment step. Coaching sessions have extra terms of their own: see Coaching Terms & Refund Policy.
1. What you are paying for
- Store orders — club kit and merchandise, shipped or collected.
- Ground bookings — a named slot at a club ground on a given date.
- Coaching sessions and academy registrations — a place with a named coach or in a programme.
- Game-day fees and net contributions — your share of the cost of a fixture or a practice session.
- Membership, marketing and other club fees — as described where you pay them.
- Sponsorships, fundraisers and donations — voluntary support of the club.
- Wallet top-ups — club credit bought up front to spend later.
The page you pay on shows the exact amount, what it covers, and any discount applied. That is what you are buying.
2. How payment works
- Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are processed by Stripe; PayPal is processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
- Zelle transfers go directly to the club. What you are buying is reserved, not confirmed, until we see the transfer — we confirm it by email once it arrives.
- Club credit is settled instantly from your wallet balance.
- Prices are in US dollars and include any applicable taxes and fees unless stated otherwise on the page.
- A reserved-but-unpaid item may be released if payment does not arrive in a reasonable time; we contact you first.
3. Refunds — issued as club credit
Where a payment is refundable, the refund is credited to your Houston Chargers wallet and not returned to the original card, PayPal account or bank account. This applies however you paid.
- Club credit never expires and can be spent on anything the club charges for — bookings, coaching, academy and game-day fees, or the store.
- Credit is not transferable to another member and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
- Credit appears in your wallet immediately and shows in your wallet history.
- Where a promo code was used, the credit is the amount you actually paid; the discount itself is not refunded or re-issued.
- In exceptional cases the club may agree to refund to the original payment method instead. That is at our discretion and is not the normal route.
4. When something is refundable
- Cancelled by us — a session, booking or event called off by the club, a coach or for weather: refunded in full as club credit.
- Cancelled by you, 24 hours or more before a session, booking or event: refunded in full as club credit.
- Cancelled by you, less than 24 hours before, or not turning up: not refunded — the slot was held and others were turned away. We may still credit it in genuine emergencies.
- Store orders: unworn, unused items in original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery or collection for club credit. Personalised items (names, numbers, custom sizing) cannot be returned unless faulty.
- Faulty or incorrect goods: tell us within 14 days and we will replace them or credit you in full, including any delivery you paid.
- Donations, sponsorships, fundraiser and game-day contributions are not refundable — they are spent on the thing you supported. Contact us if you paid one in error.
- Wallet top-ups are credit already in your hands and are not reversed to a card; the balance stays yours to spend.
5. Duplicate payments, errors and chargebacks
- Paid twice, or paid the wrong amount? Tell us — we correct it, normally as club credit, or by returning the extra where it was plainly an error.
- Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank; almost everything is settled faster directly.
- If a payment is reversed or charged back after what you bought has been delivered, we may recover it from your club credit and pause further bookings until it is settled.
6. Fees, records and receipts
- A receipt is emailed for every completed payment, and everything you have paid is listed in your account.
- Wallet top-ups may carry a processing fee, shown before you confirm. Zelle top-ups are fee-free.
- Promo codes are applied before payment, are single-scope (a code for one part of the club does not work in another), and cannot be applied after a payment is taken.
7. Your responsibilities
- Pay from an account you are authorised to use, and give accurate contact details so we can reach you about what you bought.
- Where you pay for someone else — a child, a dependant, a guest — you are responsible for the booking and for the rules that come with it.
- Follow the venue, safety and conduct rules that apply to what you booked.
8. Changes and contact
- We may update this policy; the version shown when you pay is the one that applies to that payment.
- Questions about a payment, a refund or your club credit: contact the club.
